About Claire Heffernan – Wedding Singer & Harpist in Limerick
About Me
I’m Claire Heffernan, a solo artist from Limerick, Ireland. My musical background blends classical training, traditional Irish influences, contemporary piano-vocals, musical theatre, chamber choirs, and the timeless beauty of the Irish harp. I write, record, produce, and perform across a wide range of styles, and I’ve been fortunate to follow many different musical paths over the years.
To begin with the formal side of my training, I hold a Bachelor of Music from the Cork School of Music, graduating with First Class Honours, followed by a Masters in Music Performance, also with First Class Honours. I later completed a second Masters (Festive Arts) at the University of Limerick, finishing first in my class. These studies shaped the foundation of my career and gave me the versatility I use today across performance, planning, and creative projects.
My work has taken me from intimate ceremonies to international stages. I became one of Ireland’s most sought-after wedding soloists and was honoured to be named Ireland’s Best Wedding Musician for three consecutive years. I’ve performed for thousands of visitors at Bunratty and Knappogue Castles for over a decade, travelled to perform in Germany, Amsterdam, Vienna, Estonia, and Lisbon, and appeared on RTÉ Lyric FM, RTÉ’s Today Show, and on a project for National Geographic. One of my favourite performance experiences was playing Belle in Beauty and the Beast in 2024 – a dream come true for a lifelong Disney fan!
Between 2020 and 2023, like many musicians navigating a changed world during and after Covid, I redirected my energy into writing and releasing original music. My self-produced debut single Snow Moon reached No. 1 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter charts. Gemini, my second single, also reached No. 1 and was premiered by Hot Press, who called it “another stunning offering” and praised my “true flair for song-creation”. I’ve since spent a couple of years writing for a UK-based songwriting agency, contributed music to an upcoming BBC film, and released a duet with Carl Corcoran titled Forever and More, which was named RTÉ Culture’s ‘Tune of the Week’.
With no lack of drive and ambition, further success is surely on the horizon

On this site, you’ll find a mix of offerings. Most visitors are here for my wedding music services, and these remain at the heart of what I do as a wedding musician. I also like to dedicate a little space to my original music projects, an incredibly important part of my work which I hope to grow between wedding seasons. With my own wedding in 2025, it has certainly been a lively chapter!
